The Eurométropole de Metz is one of the first 9 French regions to be awarded the "Innovative Sustainable Destination" label by Bureau Veritas France, to accelerate the development of sustainable tourism and eco-responsible events.
This is a global, proactive approach for a given destination, with international resonance, since each pilot organization responsible for promoting and developing the subject locally must first be ISO 20121 certified before committing to the "Innovative Sustainable Destination" label.
The Inspire Metz agency (including the Convention Bureau and the Tourist Office) coordinated the project. Several players in the Eurometropolis responded to the call for proposals and signed an agreement with the agency.
